Greenbrae

Convenience, schools, and views are the main attractions in the community of Greenbrae. Commuters love the mile or less drive to the freeway and close proximity to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal. Residents can ride in style to Giants Games as well as San Francisco’s Ferry Building, adjacent to the Financial District. The town’s Bon Air shopping center serves as the commercial and social hub with some 50 shops and services, and if you happen to need medical attention, cutting edge care is available at Marin General Hospital.  There is also a multitude of both alternative and traditional medical practices in the area. Greenbrae shares a highly regarded school system with Kentfield, including Bacich (pronounced like base-itch) Elementary and Kent Middle School. The area takes its name from a Scottish word meaning “green hillside,” and the town is true to its name. Most homes are situated on the hill above Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, with majestic views of the San Francisco Bay, Corte Madera Creek, and Mount Tamalpais. Townhome and condo living are popular options with many different communities, and there’s a small population of houseboats as well.
